Arrived :)

Hey Nick here again :)

Just got here very well. I'm so glad to be here staying (or living) with the Foleys. These are one of the nicest people I've ever met. I want to thank Jennifer, Thomas and Libby Foley for their hospitality very much. And now I will switch into German... :D

Hätt ich garnicht gedacht, dass ihr da jetzt so mitlest undso :D freut mich auf jeden Fall. Es ist einfach so hammer hier :) Meine Gastfamilie ist so nett und ich fühle mich hier richtig wohl :) Ich werd demnächst mal einpaar Fotos reinstellen damit ihr einen Eindruck bekommt :D
Zu meinen ersten Tagen: Nachdem Melissa (Ein Mädchen, die mit der gleichen Organisation wie ich gekommen ist und zwei Häuser neben mir platziert wurde) und ich von unseren Gastfamilien am Flughafen abgeholt wurden und sehr herzlich empfangen wurden, fuhren wir vom Airport in Charlotte in Richtung Cornelius. Auf dem Weg dorthin, hielten wir in Birkdale wo wir uns erstmal nen fetten Burger gegönnt haben. :D Dann gings weiter in unsere Stadt Cornelius. Als wir zuhause ankamen war ich erstmal von diesem schönen Haus beeindruckt. Als nächstes kamen dann die drei Hunde: Holly, Wrigley und Cornelius. Ich war, wahrscheinlich wie ihr alle, ein bisschen skeptisch. Aber später hab ich dann gemerkt wie nett Hunde sein können und wie so ne Hund-Mensch Freundschaft so ist :D Dann bin ich das erste mal in mein Zimmer gekommen. Das erste was ich sah: Das BETT. Ich sag nur eins: KING. Dann fiel mir auf, dass meine Gastfamilie sogar Geschenke für mich hatte. Damit hatte ich wirklich nicht gerechnet :) Danach hab ich die ersten Geschenke an Libby verteilt. Später sind wir dann schlafen gegangen.
Zum nächsten Tag erzähl ich wann anders, weil der Text da oben unerwartet lang geworden ist :D

Less than 24 hours ...

Hey,

today is my last day in Germany. It's such a crazy feeling that I have now. I already said goodbye to almost everyone. Hopefully, my cousine, who is like my sister is going to go to the airport with us. My flight is going from Frankfurt so we'll have to move off very early in the morning... My next post will be coming from America. :D

Today is the 16th of August so there are only 5 days more left :D Here are some of the pictures :)

Ok I’m going to give you some more detailed information about my stay. The third of May was one of the most exciting days in the past few moths for me. Finally,  after waiting for months, my placement information arrived from AIFS. I’m going to spend 6 months in Cornelius, NC. First I’m going to fly to New York with a big group. After 3 days we’ll travel ahead to our Guestfamilies. Fortunately, a girl from my organization is going to spend her half a year two houses beside me.
